What is the purpose of the round plastic cap located on both the front and rear bumpers? Someone please enlighten me.

Actually it's the tow hook point. If you pop it off (careful, it scratches) you'll see a threaded hole. In your boot is a bolt with an eye in the end of it. You screw it into the hole then attach a rope to it and get someone to drag you out of the sand. Right Greg?
