Default Question on front/rear tow hook points

I took out the tow hook from the included toolkit and it seems like it's too short to screw into the front and rear tow hook points. I must be doing it wrong...?

you need to use the tow hook extension piece that's right next to the tow hook itself inside the trunk tool kit
