question about the driver side carpet

i just found that in my car, the areas circled in red, they have a straight slit through the carpet, is this normal? can someone please check theirs? thanks!

Mine has it too. I think it is where the mat pegs come out of the carpet.

yah i have it where the peg comes out but that bump right below the seat, i have the slits right on that bump and theres nothing coming out of it.

Ive got the slits.

Great for running wires to an aftermarket ECU if you run it under your seats
