has anyone purchased the backyard special license plate mount from bulletproof automotive before?

i ordered mine on september 4th, and i have not recieved it yet. how long did you have to wait for yours (if you ordered one)?

does bulletproof automotive normally take this long to recieve and send out products?

Hmmm... That's interesting. I ordered a front bumper protector from Coastal Metals (CMG) on September 30, and it hasn't come in either. I emailed them early last week, and they sent me an email saying they were sending it out the next day, and STILL no bumper protector. On the other hand, I ordered some MF towels from Pakshak, and Zaino from Zainobros and got them in FAST.

I find it interesting that some of these companies can charge your credit card the day you place an order, but can't find the time to send you your stuff in a timely manner.

yeah.... kinda weird... especially since its been a month and a half and no product.

i understand it takes a while to recieve products from japan... but a month and a half and nothing? hmmm....

i called bulletbroof auto about 3 weeks ago, and they said it was coming in on the 26th of sep. now i called yesterday and they said that they recieved the backyard special plate mounts, but mine was not part of the order. i will have to probably wait another month and a half!

is it normally this hard to get parts from japan and bulletproof auto?

 

I assume you ordered online? Let me explain something. Everything you order comes by ship freight. Doesn't matter if it weighs one pound or 100lbs. We have one container leaving at the end of every month. It takes about 7-10 days for the ship to go from Japan to California. Then the ship has to clear customs which can take from 2 days to 2 weeks depending on if they want to go through everything on the container. Then the container has to be unloaded and put into our warehouse to prepare for shipping to you. So yes it is time consuming, but it's how we always have done things. If you want something faster you always have the option for paying extra for airfreight. Which we have done in the past. This is usually a very expensive option though on most parts. i ordered my bys license plate frame on august 14 and have yet to receive it. i emailed bulletproof to cancel my order and am waiting for a reply. they supposedly get a shipment from japan every month. they emailed me promising delivery in late september or early october, but i still havent received it.

i am not trying to talk shit about bulletproof automotive, i just wanted to know why i didn't recieve my lisence plate mount. don't get me wrong, i was just curious about the whole procedure. i understand you are not the manufacturer, i was just wondering why it takes so long. thats why i was asking.

thanks for explaining the situation and procedure. i guess you work for bulletproof auto? if this is richard, i talked to you earlier (if this is not richard then please thank him for me). i'll continue to look for the ups man to bring me the mount!
