Ok, i am going nuts trying to find a good looking solution to installing an LCD/Navi on my S2000. I see that in Japan they get that as an
option, would it be possible to order that lcd, with the frame it comes in and adapt it to the us models? If so how much would it cost?

there is a pic of the lcd although its on the opposite side of the us models can there be a way to mod to fit?

From the looks of that pic, it looks like the acura nav such as one from a TL would fit. i think that the jap version would prob. have different software from the US versions. the only question is will our dashes accomodate such hardware? does anyone know if there is any room behind our dashes for a nav? i beleive that the option to get nav in an acura runs about 1800, so it should be in that range if bought separatly.

Here is your answer !!! This unit is the same that is used in all US Honda / Acura models
Everything you need to make the Mod is here. IMO I wouldn't want the NAV in the s2000 I like getting lost!!
More driving around. BTW I also own 2000 Odyssey W/nav
It is a really nice option.
here is the link let us know how you make out

That is a typo I hope because I only paid $1000.00
for the option in the odyssey
I would guess the display (#8) would cost around
$400/$500 range

There's plenty of room in the dash for the navigation screen... enough to accomodate the thickness of a Din E chassis (Alpine IVA C800) which would be more than enough for a thinner screen-only unit. What you would attach to is another story (fabrication would be the solution)

My car goes in next Monday to install the new Pioneer 8 inch wide screen. I'll let you know how it goes. They say that it will take about a month to finish all that I have planed. DVD changer, 12 disk CD changer, subs, and amps, and the playstation 2.
