At a mini S2K meet recently I noticed when my top was down it sat higher than the other S2K. I tried to searching in the library concerning this. And I eventually went to the dealer and explained what I noticed. After they had my car for over an hour the service advisor said that there was no problem they could find because the top was going all the way in the down position and there is no adjustment. He also said that over time it will settle in. I know that when I first got my S the top went lower because I did not have a difficult time putting on the boot. After awhile it was getting harder to put it on so I gave up on it but now I realized it was because my top sits up higher than when it use to.

Any help would be appreciated. I have a MY02.

 

Do you have anything like the muzmat in the well, or a window protector?

 

I see you have a MY02. Were you comparing it to pre-02 cars? Is there a difference in height because of the glass rear window? I don't know. I'm just asking.

 

Other MY02 and I also checked the two in their show room. One was lower than the other as well.

 

02 top does stick out further than 00 and 01's due to the different frame of the top.
