Question about S2000 seats and interior

According to the UK Honda website, the S2000 seats and interior are made to resist damage from sunlight, water, etc. Is this true for all S2000s?

I can't speak for the rest of the interior but I have seen some s2000 seats that disprove that theory. Minimal direct sun and regular leather treatment is the best way to keep it like new.
