Default Question about selling a leased s2k

Hello all....

I just was looking for a little info regarding my situation.

I leased an '05 rio yellow last year.....I am going to try and sell the car soon but have a question reharding the payoff amount.

There is a dealer payoff of about $25,xxx and there is a different payoff if I buy it for myself of $27,xxx. The difference is because of sales tax and some other small fees.

My question is If I sell the car to someone else, which payoff am I responsible for?

Please give me input on my situation. Thanks in advance.

I don't know the answer to you question, but you can also look at www.leasetrader.com to see if you can pawn off your lease to someone else.

I'm thinking it's the dealer payoff. If you buy out the car then you'd have to pay the taxes and fees. If someone else buys the car, then they pay off the dealer and handle the taxes on their own.
