Question about ventilated front disc

Default Question about ventilated front disc

Correct me I am wrong. but to my understanding when they say "vent. front disc" means that the disc is not not solid its have perforations or holes. Then if this is true why the front discs in the S2000 are solid.

It has vanes in the middle of the disc. In other words, it doesn't have slots, and isn't drilled , it has channels in the middle of the disc that route air to cool the rotor

In other words ................... the S2000 does have ventilated discs up front. They're just not cross-drilled or slotted.

Unless they look like this:


Notice the disc (fronts) in the top picture has gap running along it's edge and the disc (rears) do not. Fronts are vented, rears are solid. These are also slotted and drilled.

Here is my old front next to the new front. This shows the vents:
