Default Question about Windshield Seal

I have posted here since there is more traffic than in the bodywork

Question. I want to know if this is common/normal with S2k ST when I latch the locks?

I recently had the front rubber seal replace by dealer under warranty. The rubber gasket/seal that I am talking about is the one that runs on the A pillars and up into the windshield frame where the soft top meets the windshield frame. I have notice that when I lock the soft top against the seal, it pulls the seal away at the corners(rounded area of windshield), however when I release the locks and I don't retract the top the seal makes better contact with the metal frame.

Is this normal with the car? or Should the seal stay in contact with WS frame? I just feel like water is going to trickle in and cause rust in the future. Could someone post close up picks of there S with ST locked against the seal.

The car is 2008 with only 3358 miles on the clock.

Okay Guys, almost 75 views and no pics or opinions. Let's see if you can just help me by just looking at your personal S2k.

Could you just look at the seal with the soft top lock and unlock positions? Let me know if the rubber black seal separates from the windshield frame.

I dont have anything to compare it too. I have gone to two Honda dealers to look for S2k on their lots but no luck. I have done a pic search with no luck.

You may want to take some pictures so we all can see what's going on with your seal.

I know that would help but unfortunately on my last trip to my parents house my wife left the digital cam. I have already tried with the phone and it sucks.

Okay! Got camera back and I will post some pics this evening. Let me know if what you see is normal or needs dealers attention again. Thanks

I can't say since I have a HT but it wouldn't hurt to mention it to the dealer. Personally I'd leave it alone if it's not leaking now and for all I know it may be normal. If you have no problems and are trully concerned, have it replaced towards the end of the warranty.

Actually! Yes it did help. I just want you guys to have a look at the actual seal on my car. Now your seal seem to be somewhat worse than mine/seem to be more separated on the corners compare to mine.
