Have you ever gotten weird/nasty/dirty looks from other women?? Today was the 2nd time that I have gotten a weird look from a girl. The first time the girl was checking out the car and looking to see who drove it. Today same thing!! The girl kept looking in the car and when she passed me she looked at me through her side mirror. First thing i thought "No, it's not your bf's car". Then I thought Maybe a guy with a Spa dumped her?? It's weiiird. Anyone else run into this??

 

I haven't gotten any dirty looks but...

Several times.... people see me comming up from behind in the left lane and they pull out in front of me and position themselves where I can't go around them on the right side either, so I have to slow down. Defineately done on purpose.

Also I've had people a lot of times tailgate at high speeds on the highway. Especially men.

One in particular: I was doing 95 mph, and this guy in an old beat up Toyota truck, was tailgating me for about 5 miles, he had to be about 2 feet off my bumper. I was not going to pull into the right lane too many cars I would have had to slow down. Finally this guy passed me. I was really pissed, that, he felt the need to tailgate like that. Just my luck he got off the same exit I was getting off. Boy did I let him have it! Then I thought what am I doing this guy could have a gun.

Road Rage.

I just think people, men or women see a nice car and get jealous.

Some men probably also think what is a girl doing in a car like that.

Like we don't appreciate it or some thing

 

I say its either jealously or they're a lesbo and want you for sex. Which would lead me to my next question... can I watch?

In all seriousness, I think its just plain jealously... I think its awesome for women to own this fine car and other sports cars! Its great!

I think they may think it might be a guy driving such a sexy car and are dissappointed when they see it's a woman.

Do you think this happened because you are a woman or because there are an awful lot of asses on the road? I find people, especially in suvs, vans and pickup trucks tailgating me at reasonably high speeds. I just think that these idiots have something to prove. Maybe they're trying to prove that they are better drivers or more "rough and tumble" then people who drive sportscars.

I will agree with you, there are many men who are not secure enough to admit that women can and should drive sportscars if they so choose. But then, there are fools everywhere.

My wife also worries that some of these idiots may be carrying guns. Wow, what a world we live in.

In your case, I think it was purely and simply jealousy. Unfortunately, that is a real strong force to contend with. I suppose that the best revenge is in knowing that you are the one owning the S.

The same thing that happened to you, happened to me. I had an old man tail gatting me. My sis and I were going back home from the mall and the focker would not stop. I hit my brakes he'd stay right on me, and then i just took off. Focker took off right behind me. UGH it was horrible... finally i gave up changed lanes and slowed wayyyyyyyy down (no traffic coming) went from 90+ down to about just shy of 40ish, he started to slow down and my sis flipped him off and then finally he just kept going. I was soo close to calling FHP.
Only exception; there's a Ford Lightning that I like to have him chase after me Except i always have to get off just when it's getting good. UGH!

 

If I was 16 yrs. old, I would say "I thought getting off was the good part?"....but since I am 25, I will refrain from those child-like remarks.

But seriously, guys are a**holes when it comes to chicks stepping on their testosterone, and you can definitely do that in the S....believe me, I used to be like that. They sort of have something to prove no matter what the subject is (cars, bikes, etc) so I wouldn't let it bother you.

And remember, the best way to get someone off your tail is to go faster....

 

I'd be willing to bet that at least some of them just want to look at the car. Some of the others like YOUR looks. :-) The combo must be irresistable.

 

Being a female S2K owner, I mostly get " It's a girl!?!?!" while they point at my car. Or I have guys ask "Where's your car?" I point and say "it's right there" They often ask if my bf let me take his car out or they simply just don't belive it's mine. Oh well when I pass them doing 90mph in 4th gear, I have a smile while they just drop their jaws. I love this car.
