Softtop just gets laid down when the hardtop is on.

- yup, just gets laid down...
- which means if you look through rear window of HT you can see the softtop folded down...

Sorry for the dumb question about the HT, but can this be put on by one person?

Or should I ask, if anybody has ever managed to put one on by themselves?

I am seriously considering getting a HT for the winter time.

thanks!

Are there any precautions to take prior to leaving your top in the down position all winter as would be the case using the hardtop? Any prep work need to be done?

If you have a winch then yes it's pretty easy to do it with one person. If you don't have a winch then taking it off/putting it on by yourself is not recommended. I know because I've done it once before. The weight really isn't a problem(i.e. it's only 44lbs), but the bulk is a real pain. You don't want to take the risk that you'll drop your HT on the floor or worse drop the HT on your car. I personally will never take my HT off again without either a winch or someone to help me it's just not worth it...

Mine is a permanent HT. So nice to ride in Yogi's car with the top down the other day. I miss the convertible in this weather

RC is not a chick to be messed with. She drag races in 4" stilettos AND beats the boys.

Dave,
I am with you on being amazed. I am sure that they will figure it out...eventually
