Mine isn't as noticable as in that photo, but it is definitely noticable. I would say it is less noticable than your rock chips I also did the rocker panels, mirrors, under the door handles, and the strike plates for the covertible latches. I paid the equivalent of $400 US including installation.

Highway driving=Colgan Bra (yeah it looks crappy, but it protects paint great, you're on the highway, who cares who's watching.
City driving= slow speeds, keep your distance from cars...=No bra necessary.

I think you're looking at around $500 USD for the shield.

I've considered a clear shield but just don't feel too good about applying a film onto my paint even though folks don't report issues. I'm afraid of cloudiness or permanent stains developing on the paint with time.

I've decided to touch up the more obvious chips and leave the smaller ones alone. If it gets bad enough, I guess I'll consider having the bumper painted but that's a whole other set of concerns about paint match, etc.

The Colgan bra is actually not so bad. I got mine for around $90 or so.

I think those things are hideous and the nastiest thing ever produced for cars.....My Bro has Clearshield on his IS300 and looks invisible
- I have a Black 2001 S with 22k miles and it is full of rock chips but I get it detailed every year, so.......
