Question regarding bras
There has been a lot of good advice here and I really appreciate it. $500 is more than I'm willing to pay for the clear bra, so I guess that's out. I may just take the advise to get a bra and only use it for highway driving. Rocks are obviously a concern on the highway, especially at high speeds. However, that's not the only thing that I'm concerned might damage my car. Here in Georgia there are tons of bugs flying around during the warm time of year. They are mostly a problem at night. Every time I go out at night, I have to wipe the bugs off the front bumper and windshield when I return. Locally I probably average about 50mph so the bugs are not smashed in too much. They are also not dried out when I go to wipe them off, so this does not seem to have caused any damage. However, if I take a highway trip at night, them I'm worried that the bugs will be hitting the car at a higher rate of speed and the amount of time that elapses before I can clean them will be longer. (I friend of mine recently drove his Prelude up to Atlanta from Savannah and it was amazing the amount of dead bugs that were on the front of his car. Literally about 40% of the windshield and 60% of the front bumper was covered in bug guts. He said that he could constantly hear the bugs hitting his car.) My Altima had several spots on the front bumper caused by the impact of the bugs hitting it combined, perhaps, with whatever was in the bug guts. Because the paint on the front of the S2000 does not seem to be able to resist damage that well, bug induced damage is as big of a concern as rock damage. If I decide to get a bra, I'll only use it on these type of highway trips.
Has anyone actually seen the carbon fiber bra?:
