I can actually fit my golf bag no problem in my trunk. The only ones I have to take out of the bag is probably my driver and hybrids but those still fit in my trunk out of the bag no prob.
mine get in, too, but with some very slight coaxing, like putting the bag in at an angle. i'm happy with it.

by the way, did you know titleist makes ap1 & ap2 irons? which ones are you using?

Remove spare tire, and it'll fit.

Remove tools and fit a small amp too.

Luggage racks used to be the norm on small 2-seat sports cars. Late 60s/early 70s Corvettes, MGs, Triumphs, etc. had them, more often than not.

Makes a lot of sense if you want to take a road trip with the missus and you don't wanna take the family truckster.

Wait a minute -- you're suggesting he buys an MGF?

Funny, when I clicked on this thread, I thought: "I wonder if he's asking about a guitar?"

I have a soft case that fits, with room underneath for a duffel bag in the tool well (even with the styrofoam.

Lemme go snap a pic. Brb.

Lots of you guys are nuts. There is a ton of trunk space in this car. You just have to know what you are doing.

First lets talk design, though. The trunk is designed around carying golf clubs. It's just that Japanese people are on average a bit shorter than European and African people so their drivers are shorter. The engineers probably missed this detail. Just remove the driver and lay it on top.

The tool well is designed around a standard maximum size carry on bag's dimensions. Drops right in. If you remove the foam tool tray and wrap the tools and jack in a towel they will easily fit inside the spare tire with leftover room for other items (rain jackets, etc). This frees up room under that standard carryon size suitcase in the tool well.

Subwoofers take up a lot of room. The best bet is probably a removable one-- especially one that fits over to one side. Subs won't work all that well if the trunk is stuffed full but - hey, maybe.

Make sure to utilize that area over to the side when travelling -- a quart of oil goes there easily and stays out of the way or it can ride in the spare tire.

Extra shoes can go under the seat. The area behind the seats is useless unless you or your passenger are kind of short then it frees up quite a bit of room. Also, if the passenger is shorter, there is room in front of their feet for a soft bag, jackets, etc.

My wife and I have travelled for 10 days in the car (yes it was summertime). We had clothing for both of us, car wash supplies ( i keep mine in a smaller Rubbermaid tote that doubles as a wash bucket), and a soft sided cooler.

You just have to know how to pack. There is an art to it.

Yes, I thought the trunk was pretty small when I first got the car too but it is truly amazine what you can carry along with two people.

Oh yeah, almost forgot -- I have no idea whether the guitar will fit but make no mistake, you can travel with two people in this car for extended periods of time.
