Hmm i doubt it but why not bring it with u and try it in the S u are looking at. I can not fit a suit case in the trunk of this car. But i just use duffle bags if i have to. I love it hate it with the room in this car. It's nice to not have a lot of room that way im not a taxie/every thing is in a arms distance from me. But on road trips or if i wanted to go camping this would be a hard car to do those things in.

1. Nope it will not fit.
2. Don't choose between the guitar and the S2000.
3. The guitar not fitting in the trunk is a terrible excuse not to get this amazing car.
4. Put it on your passenger seat.

I took my suitcase with me when I went to look at the S I wound up buying. I had to take the spare tire out, but then it fit. SOLD!

it will not fit the trunk.

however, it will fit in the passenger-side.

side note: I've had a passenger ride along with the guitar between their legs/on their lap.... they weren't exactly comfortable, but it worked out...

Certainly not the trunk, but I stuff an electric bass in a hard shell coffin case in the passenger seat all the time. The top of the case just barely squeezes past the top rear corner of the seal. Also, my amp head just barely fits in the lowest part of the trunk. It actually sits at an angle and the rubber feet are starting to scrub up the carpet so I've gotta find another way.
