If all else fails I would just bring it to a mechanic. If you tell him not to do anything to the car and just check it out for you, you really can't go wrong.

does the spark plug recall effect 2003?

knock sound from the engine is never a good sign on any car.

Ok, when I said knock I probably should have said Clunk...

It's not like the engine is knocking, just makes a clunk type sound on startup..

did you notice this before purchase?

What is the whistle type noise after initial startup. Seems to come from the passenger side. It's not the CAI.

the whistle sound you hear is your air pump. Its normal

that's that little hole on the left side of the upper intake. they blow more air in there to warm up the car more faster.

this way, honda don't have to modify their rpm range and timing in order for it to compensate for cold weather start.

The only way to solve this is to get an Engine Torque Damper.

I never thought it was bad or that there was anything wrong with it either. I just wanted to know where the heck it was coming from. It actually sounds pretty cool. It sounds like I have something else under the hood like F/I.
