i know that this is a dick thing to say, but did you get the car inspected before you bought it?
did you notice this before purchase?
did you notice this before purchase?
and I did not notice it, among other things with the paint on the car.. I was blinded by the sexiness of the car I guess.

Hey guys, I'm new to s2000's and I just bought a 2003 Berlina Black/Black..
Everytime I push the start button on the last crank when the engine fires the engine seems to bounce really hard. It is usually accompanied by a knock type sound (Can't really explain it otherwise).
Also when driving slow over some bumps (always hear it in my driveway coming home) I hear some creaks coming from the front of the car..
Any ideas?

This post should address the start up "issue": https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry1354344
I am talking about a sudden clunk as soon as the engine fires..
I searched around a bit more and found some ppl notice and others don't, most seem to think it's normal while others don't ... So I am still not sure about it.

I've mentioned it in a few other threads, but I've had a creak/squeak that always sounded like it was coming from right behind the dash when I went over bumps or rough road. Turned out it was the hood latch assembly.
You can test it by standing in front of the car and pushing down lightly on the front of the hood a few times. If it's the hood latch, you'll hear it. Some silicon spray takes care of it for a day or two. White lithium grease spray should eliminate it for many months at least.

Appreciate the tip
