I think $15k is about right.

i have seen stock 06-07 S2000 with 4000-10000 miles for 20-23k. obviously, your modded 01 wont get much action.

I wouldn't sneeze at 15-16; that sounds fair. As far as stock 06-07 and the pricing, while I appreciate the input, one really isn't comparing apples to apples. Having driven an 06 S2K, the stock models simply don't have enough power (low and high end) for me; that, of course, is personal preference and opinion. If you have driven a SC'd S2K that is balanced with additional modifications, the kick, especially in 2nd gear on up, is exhillerating. My best friend has an 01 stock and there is a noticable difference. I loved the 2 NSX's I had, but neither pulled like this car beyond first gear. I don't push it out of fear I am not skilled enough. I am not crazy about the low end torque at take off (I like 250+ torque, my car dyno'd at 210), but, again, there is a certain joy / trade off in having a high red line and hearing the engine scream as the RPM's climb. I recently drove an 08 Caymen S owned by a colleague and despite the higher torque, in this case I like my car more; I think he preferred my car too. : )

you might want to part the SC. Its a easy way to get a couple hundred/1K for a complete system..

I would definitely pick up a set of stock wheels and sell the HRE's separately, that be one big way to make some extra $!

I would definitely part it out, if not, you'll have to wait for the right type of buyer. One who knows enough to put trust in his judgment of the car over the mods. Most people look for stock because its the safest bet as far as how it was treated, even though these cars are pretty fun stock.
So if you are unwilling to part it out, I think it would depend how long you were willing to wait, given time, I'm sure someone would pay up to 17.5k or so for that car. If you want to sell it reasonably fast, I'd put my finger on about 15k. I bought an 02 with 10k more miles (had lots of cosmetic mods and instake/exhaust/xbrace, no super/turbo) for 13.9k just a week ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if you could fetch a solid 15k from someone who knows how to look at a car.

I considered removing the HRE's, but in the long run, how much would I actually get for them, 2000 at best for the 4 with tires? Then subtract cost of stock wheels and tires... that 2k goes away pretty quickly.. : /
After reading what the fellow members here have written, I would be cool with 15-16, 15.5 sold! ; ) If the economy was better, I would consider holding out for maybe 17, but that isn't going to happen any time soon! I am guessing as Spring comes around, I may hear a bit more if it doesn't sell in the next month or so. I will also lower the price on autotrader.

I've seen multiple sets of AP1 wheels with 50% tires for $300.

IMO it's not worth it to part out the SC, unless it is something you can do yourself. The wheels should go first, that is easy $2k profit right there. It was already mentioned, but AP1 wheels are cheap and won't really hurt the overall value of the car. The BBK and suspension should net around $1k each, depending on the condition. That's $4k and if you can get $15k for the car that would be pretty reasonable. I'd post up in the the local forum and see if anyone is interested in the parts. You might even be able to work something out for the stock parts in return and have them do the labor.
