We're evidently talking about different things -- you're referring to the '01 -> '02 change, whereas I was talking about the '03 -> '04 change. As I mentioned earlier, though, they redid the spring and dampers in '02 as well as the sway bars.

Others who drove my car, however, definitely commented that the car felt better with the bigger bar.
Everyone's different, but when not driving at the limit, I really prefer the feel of a bigger bar since it shortens the time the car takes to settle when turning into a corner. At the limit, I prefer whatever bar setting nets me neutral handling.
