Default Question for those with Muz convex mirror

I just installed mine and noticed that to get a good field of view from it, I have to push it out a lot further than the normal one. It's almost at the limit of its lefthand range of motion.

Just wondering if this is normal for everyone else or I screwed up the install.

Thanks!

I think that is normal. Same here.

Something is odd here. When I had my stock mirror, I had it all the way to the left to see as much as possible. Once the convex mirror was installed, while in the same extreme far left position, you should see even more than you did before. If you do not then perhaps your mirror is not installed perfectly flat against the backing plate in which case, it may fall off one day.

Mine is all the way at the limit of motion. What happens with the convex mirror is that the field of view is extended in both directions, both outward and inward toward the car. If your normal mirror is adjusted so you just see past the side of the car to the rear, then in the same position you'll see more of the side with the convex mirror installed. Since the point is not to admire your car in the mirror, you'll naturally end up adjusting it farther out.

Okay, cool. I DO see a lot more to the left, all I'm saying is that my mirror adjustment is a lot more to the left, so it looks like it's par for the course. Mirror is rock solid in the holder, I triple checked it.

Carry on.

I had my stock mirror at full left. And now with the convex mirror, it is also at full left.
