Default question for the voodoo shift knob owners..

Hi all, I have a voodoo shift knob on my car and was wondering what did you guys use for your shift boot? Im looking for a way to keep my shift boot up but make it look nice and clean with the knob, I don't really want it to huge the end of the knob, but something that looks good, does anyone have pics or suggestions on what they did?

thanks

I bought the leather shift boot from Rick's. Looks and feels so much better than the cheesy vinyl crap that comes standard.

The knob is countersunk all the way down, if anything your shift boot will hold itself up (99-03) while the current (04-05) has a even longer/deeper boot that you'd have problems getting the knob on so it'd hold itself up for sure, you don't need to find a plug just to hold it up like other Hondas/Acuras.

If you want, you can try this. Get a nut that fits the threads of the shifter. Remove the boot from the center console. thread the nut on the threads to the bottom of the shifter. Replace the boot over the nut which should hold the boot up to the top. Then proceed to thread the knob on. Not sure if it works, I just thought it up, but it sounds like it could.

Note: You can not install a nut on the shifter with a VooDoo installed.

There should be a "wire tie" on the inside of the shift boot. The OEM boot has one. You can either pull the center console and replace it. It should be just tight enough to lightly hold onto the shift knob.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Did I say nut? I really meant to say tie. Thanks.
