I drove an 06 around for over a week and noticed that it emits a high pitched sound coming from the DBW component under the hood. It had that high pitched sound like a propane BBQ.

Have any of you ever noticed that? Just wondering...

 

Mine doesn't do that.

 

No, but I have a lot of hearing loss in the higher frequencies, so mine might be doing it without my knowledge. I'll ask one of my kids to listen to it.

You can really detect it when the engine is shutoff some of the electrical components are still active for a few seconds.

Maybe if I put the top up and turn the stereo down I might hear it....heck maybe I could even hear the cellphone ring....+1 complains I never answer her now when in the S....he he he.

 

Nope. Nothing. I seriously doubt THAT would make noise. I have 2k miles on my 06.
