You just re-use your OEM trim pieces and swap the pieces that look like brushes (i'm not sure what they call them). If you have a red interior, like me, you need to keep your OEM trim pieces anyway since mugen provides black ones. Just remove one or two screws from the mugen supplied pieces and swap the brushes that are simply OEM pieces that have been cut so that the hardtop latches can go around it. Reinstall your OEM pieces and you are done.

So out of curiousity, if its that easy, why do people say it took them 6 hours to install?

Do you need to do this even if you gut the soft top?

I know on King & Evaisve site it says it comes with all parts needed to install but does this include the mounting kit or does that need to be purchased separately?

Its that easy to replace your trim panels. To install the whole thing and adjust it takes a lot more time.

I guess you wouldn't need to since you would have no use for them, but the swap literally takes 5 minutes.

6 hours

I have never heard anyone admit to that. The longest I've heard was maybe an hour. Once you've figured out what to do, it is very easy. The hard part is in doing the adjustments afterward.
