Default Question for the younger S2000 owners

how much do you pay for insurance on your s2000?

Please state approx how much you pay, your location, and if it is full coverage or liability only.

thanks.

the only thing holding me off of getting an S2000 is the cost of insurance. I've been quoted $2500/6 months. and that sum is quite alot and im wondering what everyone else pays for this awesome sports car.

thanks in advance

im 23 (24 tomorrow), in the SF Bay Area, with State Farm (have been since I turned 16, on my own policy since I was 17), no tickets or accidents. Full Coverage (100k/300k, $0deduct on Comprehensive, $500 on collision) and I pay around $460/6 months.

I think I'm getting hosed, but I pay about $2400/year full coverage on my S2000 and a 91 corolla, clean record, 22 years old. I've been quoted anywhere from $2200 to 3000/year for those 2 cars.

On an aside, Luder posted something about your credit history affecting your insurance rates, which might make sense for me since I've never financed anything prior to the S2000 and never had a credit card (hate them w/ a passion).

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but why don't you list one of your parents as the primary driver. That should save you a LOT of money.

I got quotes from a lot of places, between $2000 - $2500/yr. I am 26, clean record.
