Question for the younger S2000 owners
It all depends on where you live. Im 21 and live in brooklyn NY. I got a quote under my name and it was like $5,000 a year. So I put the car and the insurance under my dad's name and I now pay $1,800 a year.
If you get a high quote because you are young why dont you try putting it under a parents name or an older sibling.

26 in NJ, with a clean record. . . I'm paying 1450 with NJM
However, the S2000 is my second car (not a daily driver) & its the 3rd car on my mom's policy. . . Subsequently, I'm definitely getting off pretty cheap. . .
Based on what my friends are paying for their new sedans (IS300 and a GS300), I'd be paying approximately 2600-3500 for the year under my name & as a daily driver. . .

I got a quote on an SS camaro and it was over 400 a month. 18 years old. but my insurance company likes me and my family so I can go under the car with the cheapiest insurance and am still covered so I am going under my dads 1987 Supra liability only on the car. Only 100 a month. that is kind of high but in phoenix there are a lot of accidents with teenagers.
I'm 24 in a relatively expensive area for insurance... I pay $1800/6 mos with 1 at-fault totalled car prior to my S2k. Ouch
Should go down in a few months when my renewal comes up and the last of my tickets fall off, and I get upgraded from 23 to 24. I'm guessing it'll be ~$1500/6 mos.
