Default Questions about OEM hardtop alignment, large pics

HI there, recently just purchased a used 01 s2000 and it came with a oem hardtop, I just noticed that the hardtop is sitting lower than the top of the car, i am not sure if this is normal and anybody got the same problem, i thought the hardtop suppose to line up prefectly with the top of the car where the black tape used to be, the pics might be hard to see, but if you look closely, you can see that the tip of the hardtop is slightly lower from the body. I have searched but found no result, any info would be appericated, thanx in advance.

It is supposed to be a mm or two lower than the windshield header. Yours looks a little low, but wont really hurt anything.

I would have to say that your REAR catchers are not adjusted properly. They are likely a couple milimeters too far BACK which is causing the hardtop to be "pulled" back.

Also, what front strikers do you have? The soft top ones or the hardtop ones.

It could be that the weather stripping has lost a little of its resilencie and flattened out a bit. If it's not leaking, I wouldn't bother with it.

Thanx for the responses, i had the hardtop off for two weeks and just put it back on, then i noticed how its sitting.. i dont think its leaking..but i am trying to get it aligned if its possible..so..to adjust the rear catchers, its the flaps on the hard top right? i can just move that back a little? as for strikers..i am not sure what kind are they...i assume u are talking about the locking mechanism for the front? they look identical to the softtop ones... thanx again for the responses..

Mine sits about flush with the windshield. Lilke stated before the rear catchers are probably a little too far back.
