Default Questions for Canadian S2000 owners

Help! I am about to order a 2002 S2000 but need to deal with child safety issues:

1. Where can you go to get an on/off switch for the passenger-side airbag- If you know any businesses near Saskatchewan, Canada, please let me know!

2. How did you anchor a childseat (ie. where do you secure the childseat harness?).

Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Louie

Hey you are back where are you getting the car from??

I can't offer any suggestions to your questions, but congrats in being a potential owner.

I would suspect the dealership may have to help with the airbag switch.... The s2000 isn't really a family car, however if you are taking a child for a ride I guess you wouldneed these items.

Louie: Do a search for "passenger air bag switch"; there are several threads on this subject. Here's one which has some info for you: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...+air+bag+switch

1Y2KS2K:

First of all, I'd like to thank you for the link/tip. I had already done a search already and spent considerable time reading all the posts. Most of the information in those posts give companies such as airbagonoff.com which are not local. I know I can probably order the kit for the airbag switch but trying to find a local shop to install it (and install it properly) would be difficult. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is not the great metropolis like other larger centers (HondaGal can vouch for that considering she's only 2.5 hours away!). That is why I petitioned this group for info that is a bit closer to home and at least have installation experience. But thanks, again!

HondaGal:

You're right. I'm back. Believe it or not, I'm probably the most obsessed Honda/S2000 fan, second to only YOU, in the province of Saskatchewan. I have followed this website religiously but have not been very vocal b/c I don't have a S2000 yet! By the end of next week, my 99 M3 will be gone and I will be placing an order for a 2002 S2000 in Saskatoon. Certain details have not been released (ie. colors, MSRP) except the info that has been in the magazines. However, being a loyal Honda customer who have bought 92 Prelude SR (mine), 94 Accord EXR coupe (wife), 92 Civic LX (daughter), 97 Prelude SH (mine again),98 Accord V6 (brother), 98 Accord EX (Brother in law) and 98 CRV (brother in law), from the same dealership, I am guaranteed to get a S2000 significantly under MSRP! My S2000 will look great next to the Honda lawnmower and Honda snowblower in the garage! Talk to you later!

Once again, Are there any other Canadian S2000 owners that can help me with my questions?

Thanks in advance!

Louie
