Okay, I've done the search on this board and I still need help. Today I bought Mingster's Dead Pedal from 9000RPM and took it home to clean and install. I bought the 150 fine grit and ScotchBrite as suggested by Mingster himself. The cleaning process went very well. I also went to Radio Shack to pick up my plugs that are supposed to fit this pedal. Mingster recommended part number #64-2346. This part is for very small black feet that go on the bottom of chairs. Not only were they too small in diameter but they were only about 1/4 of an inch thick. Way too small to fit in the holes. Radio Shack said that this was all they had so no plugs. I also looked at the hardware store and found nothing. So, I go home to install the pedal anyways. I remember Mingster saying how he didn't need the plugs as the pedal looked good anyway. Come to realize Mingster does not have Red carpet like I do. So, as the pedal fits in there real nicely there is red carpet showing through the holes. Obviously, this does not look right. I did try installing the new pedal over the stock one but the screws are not long enough and I don't think that's right anyway. So, once and for all can someone please help me. I'd like to know what will fit in these holes and where I can purchase them. I'm almost feeling like I should have spent the extra $25 for another pedal with the plugs already installed. BTW, 9000RPM is a great guy you all should be lucky to meet him at the L.A. meet and no hard feelings for this are directed at him anyway shape or form. Thanks for any help you guys can throw my way. I just want this thing looking like it should.

I looked at Radio Shack for the same thing, didn't find anything that would fit. I have black carpet though - so I just left it with the holes. It works fine for me. Other than keeping it "as-is", put a piece of black carpet or something underneath it so it appears black. That's my suggestion.

Home Depot have these plugs too.

Another way to this is to cut out a thin black cardboard to the shape of it.

Silver,
I have red carpet and the Mingster pedal. I cut some !/2 inch dowel about 3/8" thick,a bandsaw is handy. then siliconed them into the holes. I put a tad of silicone on top of the dowel then stuck on the Radio Shack pads. It ends up so the pads are 1/8" proud of the pedal surface. I polished the pedal with 400 grit wet & dry paper first. I'm very happy with the finished look.

I used 7/8" (the diameter of the small end) black rubber stoppers. I poked the small end into the back of the pedal as far as it can go and cut the rest off. So that the your feet rest on the small end. It ended up looking very good. And what's more important is that since the wider end is against the back, the stoppers pretty much stay in place. I'll take pictures of it later this week and post it.

I got the black rubber stoppers from Ace hardware for 20cents each or something.

I did the exact same thing as reecespieces, but paid 35 cents per plug! I trimmed both the small end and the larger end 'cause I thought the small end stuck out too high. My handywork is a bit on the rough side, cutting with a pair of Craftsman wirecutters, but on the floor it looks just fine

Great responses! Thanks guys...I went to an OSH hardware store (I think there only in the west?) but I'll try Home Depot today, I'm sure they'll have plugs similar to the ones you used. Thanks again and I can't wait to finish the look of my new pedal

my local Home Depot did not have the stoppers. (Maybe they did, but no one could find them!) I looked ALL over the place until I found them at the local independent hardware store. (Had to ask the owner and he found them in a back drawer in storage) Might save you some time to just go to Ace like reecespieces did. Good luck!
