Whats up guys. I've been searching and reading around but I can't seem to find a thread comparing the different brands of headers and exhaust systems. If someone could help me out by answering a few questions, or pointing me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm looking to do a few small mods to the car (02 s2k). I'd like to start with I/H/E. I'm a big fan of Comptech, but I see that there are DC Sports headers on eBay for 1/3 the price. How are these? Any fitment issues? Are they just junk or what? How are the Mugens?

How about Apexi N1 exhaust? How does this compare to the HKS, comptech, or invidia? I'd like a little better sound, but nothing ricey and obnoxious.

The DC is junk. Comptech makes a nice product, but Im not a fan of there header or exhaust. I would personally go with J's intake/header/exhaust if you have the money. If not, I would go Comptech intake/Rick's header/t1r exhaust.

i like my apex n1. its pretty loud though ill likely get the rick's header when its available again and cash permits.

loud like obnoxious loud, or good clean loud? I'm downloading some video comparison of a bunch of exhausts I found on here....hopefully thats on there.

 

is dc junk b/c it makes no power? or because it will crack or not line up right?

 

obnoxious to whom? a performance car fan or a regular joe thats gets behind me?
