Default Quick question about my transmission

I don't need to push down to get it in reverse, which also makes it very easy to miss 5th gear and get nothing. Is this a common problem? is there an easy fix? Normally you push downward to get to Reverse, but mine doesn't require that.

Help.

thanks

Scot

Should be a lock out pin to prevent you going into reverse without depressing the shifter. Definitely a trip to the dealer is recommended.

Yes, I agree. Your lock-out has "shit the sheets." A trip to the dealer please.

Scot,

In fact, my salesperson couldn't back my car out of the showroom floor when I picked it up. Thanks to S2ki, I could educate him.

I would take it to the dealer just in case you decide to hit reverse instead of 6th. Haven't heard of the 6th gear grind yet?
