this usually happens when i am on a hill facing down but at a stop when it is in neutral, than i put it in first an i can hear a little bang uderneath the car i dont know if it is the transmission or the gear box or whatever ,, has anyone else experience this???

 

its perfectly normal, almost all s2000's do this. i believe there is a TSB on this and they just regrease the rear spindle nut. It's more of an annoyance than anything else and will not cause any damage.

Good to know my 00 does the same thing....What do u have to grease to get rid of it????

 

mine does the same thing. for awhile, i thought it was just my car.
