Quick question on leasing a 2002 S2000
I've wanted an S2000 since they were released. Unfortunately, it's never been practical enough for me, at least for the cost. There's an Atlanta dealer advertising a 2003 S2000 for $299 per month, 48 months, approx $2500 down. Not sure of the mileage allowance, but it really doesn't matter, as I'll only drive it a couple days a week. Is this a good deal? It really sounds like one to me. Are they starting to finally deal on these because they're coming out with a new, larger displacement, model (unconfirmed rumors, but sounds pretty believable).
BTW, you guys are all lucky to own one of these things. I'm jealous.

Not a bad deal at all. Seen some better but for 48 months not bad. You could play some more hard ball. I'd try to lower the down payment. Money talks.....go in with 1800 cash (flash the bills its like blood to sharks) and say I want this deal with 1800 due at signing...Say i will lease today...if your credit is good ...you will get it! But be ready to walk. Cash at hand and immediate delivery speaks volumes with dealers.
$16852 + tax. $4213/yr + insurance of another $1200.
You need to check the $/1000 to figure out lease financing rates and compare with what you see in the paper for other types of cars. All lease ads must include $/1000 rates in the ads so finding a comparison should be easy.
It seems decent.
