Quick Test Pipe Question

Only under perfect conditions. Just because the readings were similar at idle (or even a moderate load), doesn't mean the cat is never needed. There are plenty of times when the cat is needed, like running cold when the car is running rich. Usually Acceleration and Deceleration show increased emissions. Also, I'd imaging VTEC isn't very good emisions wise either, especially the VTEC boundry where the ECU has to recalibrate for the extra power. If you run a test pipe you're going to pollute, don't kid yourself. I'm not saying you shouldn't run a test pipe. Just don't delude your self, and everyone else reading this thread, that test pipes don't increase pollution.

I used the test pipe for a while but it wasn't doing a good enough job so I substituted a oil/antifreeze burner for the cat. Now that works great! Black smoke pours out every second! It engulfs the car when I'm not moving At which time I dump nuclear waste out the side of the car.
yeah we're going to have a tree hugger vs polluter (sp) debate....
Simple facts are:
Testpipe DOES gain power, there is no question about it -- I have dyno charts as well as many other people to prove this. To say it doesn't gain power is ignorant.
A testpipe will make more pollution as a side effect.
So it comes down to power vs pollution -- you can all be the judge on which you rather have.
No matter how much you bitch about eithor side of the debate, your not going to stop other people from doing what they want so lets try to stick to the facts and not have a 10 page debate AGAIN

I foresee this turning into a 6 page thread on how polluting the environment is bad.
