My fiancee loves my car but hates the honking noise when you turn the alarm on and off. Do any of you know of a way to turn off that horn indicator?

If you are talking about the factory alarm, look on the back of your remote. It will tell you what to do to toggle the audible confirmation.

I can't tell you since my car is still in the shop!

 

Thanks Tfota but I had the optional alarm installed by force. It beeps twice when it disarms. My fiancee is already self conscious when she drives my car and the alarm makes it worse.

 

Sorry, can't help you there. Have you tried reading the manual? Calling the shop where it was installed?

 

Hold the LOCK button down and press the OPTION button until the red LED (above LOCK) lights; about 2 seconds. This turns off the horn, but still sets the alarm system.

Repeat this procedure to turn the horn back on again.
