Glad you're ok. Looking back on it, I'm glad I had a slow FWD four-door when I was your age.

Its looks pretty jacked up. Probably not totaled but that rear quarter panel is welded to the car, so it won't be a cheap fix at all. Hope you have cheap deductible. Good luck!

Glad your fine, lesson learnt and admitting to your mistake. If the airbags didn't deploy chances are that the damage isn't as bad as your anticipating.

Sorry to hear and sorry to say that it kind of looks like you are no longer an S2K owner. Good luck with it.

Hey man, read the thread I just posted in the talk forum. I just barely missed dying in my S2K, let alone totaling it, but somehow I came through without a scratch on myself or the car.

Sorry to hear about your car, but I almost became part of that 17 year old driver stereotype as well. It sucks that you had to learn the lesson of respecting the road through a possibly totaled car, but I also learned that lesson today.

I'll be interested to hear what happens with your settlement. Keep us updated. Hope everything works out man.

And I wondered why the insurance on the S2K was so high...

Glad you are OK.

Data point, I recently bought a totalled S that had similar damage.

From a strictly self serving point of view, if only you hadn't done this now when I'm broke, I'd like to buy another.

Did you go over a curb or just hit a pole? Good chance the damage is superficial if you weren't going too fast and didn't go over anything.

Live and learn man.
