R.I.P RED MX5
I am very sorry to hear this, hes been such a great help to the s2ki community and I cant even count how many people he has helped when it came to technical discussions. He would ALWAYS answer any questions I had regarding driving techniques and or questions about the s2k in general in a very detailed yet respectful fashion. My thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones and family members.
This is terrible. Even before I had an account here I remember his online presence and the kindness and knowledge that his posts contained.
Best wishes to his family. Just going on the mark he left here, they are very fortunate to have had him in their lives.

Very sad news indeed. I am mostly an info-holic on this site and nothing created more anticipation for me than a post with contributions by Red ... Chuck. A few months ago I noticed the Red MX5 moniker by a post in the photo section and finally pitched some thoughts his way. To my pleasure Chuck responded, as his custom - with clarity and intelligence. Aware of his history with Fiats I prodded the subject a bit, and WooHoo (?) there were a few splendid shots from his archives that he was nice enough to post.
Though I never met this wonderful man he has certainly left an impression on me that will not be soon forgotten.
My sincere condolences for his wife, daughter, immediate relations and friends.

I am SO sorry to hear this sad news.
I never met him in person but we communicated via posts early on in my S2000 ownership last year, about proper downshifting technique. He was patient and helpful to me.
May he RIP.

Red will be sorely missed in this forum. I remember looking forward to posts that he has replied to - you just know there is something to learn from them. He is a true car enthusiast.
My condolences to his family, relatives and friends.

I was EXTREMELY shocked when I saw this thread name. This is very saddening. I clearly remember all the help he gave me. Every dumb question I asked him, he would reply VERY thoroughly and thoughtfully in a nice long paragraph and never got impatient. Even though I've never met him, his character made me feel that he's a very close friend of mine.
I pray for his family.
