The 3.5" height is only the first 5" or so of the jack. The front and rear jack points are about two feet under the car and the back of the jack will not be able to fit under the car as the rear of the jack looks about 7" high.

To answer some questions:

These jacks are made in China, as most ALL jacks on the market are now these days.

The jacks that lift cars in one pump require a TREMENDOUS amount of down force, not suitable at all for consumer use. Those jacks generally are in the thousand dollar plus range.

Whether or not they will work from the center of the car or only the sides really depends on the height of the car. As I have not tried these yet on my own S, I don't know. But I will try to find the highest point measurement. Although the 3.5" lift height is very useful for many of those low riders out there, side or center regardless.

I believe price would be around USD $399. What would everyone realistically pay though?

Too much money. This would be perfect for the guy who has one of those black & white checker board garage floors. You know ---- the "prissey" kind.
4 pieces of 2 x 8 under the tires, a $39.00 Crappy Tire floor jack (maybe even 2) and I've almost got enough change to buy an AEM CAI. Hey, that's just what I did!

Actually, the crappy tire jack you mention is made by the same people that make some of the highly regarded Lincoln Automotive and other "brand" lift equipment. You'd be surprised!

I love Crappy Tire!!!!

I use the scissor jack to raise the side of the car in order to fit a regular jack to the center jack points.
