Racking up the miles!
Mine is a garage queen during the winter, but I plan on using it a lot during the summer, even if it does mean racking up some miles. I only have 7k miles, so I have some catching up to do!!! haha
I've driven it a few times during the winter, but for the most part it's just not fun. Dodging potholes and worrying if the summer tires have any grip in 20 degrees really kills the fun factor. So what's the point? I enjoy my new IS 350 more in the winter. With heated everything and all the latest tech, it's just a much more enjoyable ride during our harsh winters. But all that will change once it warms up - if it ever does.
It snowed here in Philly on Friday and temps are still averaging 10-20 below average pretty much every day. The roads are littered with rocks, salt and potholes. Ughghg!!! Enough already! Where is Spring????

Mine tends to be a garage queen, even here in sunny California, because of my very busy work and travel schedule. It still brings me great joy, despite low miles each year.
I don't worry too much about mileage now, but I used to.
My car only has 26,000 miles on it.
I bought it new and two years later, I moved to Florida for school. Since the S wasn't practical like my other sports car, it was left up north. I ended up staying in Florida for 8 years and when I moved back up, I got married to woman who dislikes riding in it. So the car now sits waiting for the perfect sunny day for me to rekindle my early twenties. In hindsight, I should have bought a new Bimmer coupe, at least then I would have had it in college. I would trade my low mileage for great memories.

If I had a commute, I'd probably drive the S a lot more. As it stands, I only put about 500 miles per month on my DD.The only time I'd really need to drive the S is when the weather is nice and I want to take a joyride. Unfortunately, it's been a loooong time since we've had weather worthy of a joyride. This will be my first spring/summer with the S, so I'm curious to see how often I'll have a chance to take it out and enjoy it.
We bought our '06 back in late '10 with just under 20k miles on her. Now we have 114k miles on it and I have three other cars to drive so we don't put as many miles on it as before but it's still the car we take when we want to have fun on the back roads. I need a trailer so I can take the S with us when we go in the motorhome.

I don't mind putting mileage on it if the drive is to take it to a back road or cruise with friends to a car meet or gathering.
Driving meaningless and boring freeway...just not a fan of it; thus, I don't daily drive mine.

I bought my s2000 in Oct, 2013, with 92k on it, now it has 107,000. That's an average of 800 miles a month. However, my work is about 5 miles away from home; I have no idea where those miles came from. I don't daily drive my s2000 to work anymore, but I find myself taking a long highway cruse every two weeks, taking the car for a night out, or going to a friend's house. I wonder what it is like to own a low milage s2000 and curious if it is any better then my own. I'm the opposite of kevinS2000, I love cruising on the highway!!
Too many things in life I had thought I should "save" and later regretted I had not used, enjoyed, or consumed.
That being said, I use other sacrificial DDs to do the traffic grunt work (no fun there) and use the S for the fun drives everywhere else. Still is less than 7K a year.
