I have an Escort SOLO S2, and it's saved me on numerous occasions lately! I'll be going along and next thing I know that thing is going off and I'll sit there and say "WTF" because I don't see any cops, yet when I go down the road another half mile to a mile there he is!

I bought this radar detector because it's cordless. Yes, it goes through batteries, however if you buy the lithium batteries they usually last about a month or longer before you need to change the batteries.

Well worth the money!

Some work very well some dont. Also depends on the state u live in and the laws that govern the laser jammer
in NYS a police officer cannot gun you with a laser jammer within 1000 feet.

So the Blinder M45 is the best jammer for this purpose.

The best overall rated would be the Laser Interceptor.

Both run around 600-800

I've been looking at both of those, however I think I found the laser interceptor for more like 600-800 British pounds, not dollars. Where have you found that price?

someone asked about metal tint on the windows, yes it will reduce you radar detector range/performance. make sure to keep it below the front windshield tint line and if it detects from the rear the back window tint will reduce performance too.. i have just installed the bel RX75 remote radar/laser unit.. radar unit goes behind the front bumper and front laser unit goes in the grill with direct view.the rear laser unit attatches above the rear licence plate. i wanted a radar detector that uses a bar graph and digital readout that is remote mounted. so far it has been great. i am a big fan of bel radar detectors but if you compare them to the valentine one the performance of both are great. but i will never drive without a radar detector, thats for sure. my next investment will be a laser jammer, a drivers biggest threat!!

Can you elaborate on this? I too live in NY and thought about the idea of adding a laser jammer. 1000ft because of some crazy law, or because of the way the product works?

1000ft because the laser used in the laser guns are dangerous to people if aimed at them within 1000 ft. thats why most of the time i cop will not hit u with a laser within 1000 ft. Most jammers dont work to well under 1000 feet. The laser interceptor however, works up to 500 ft. Some reviews have reported it to work within 100 ft.

i use the 8500x50

Only reason I want a v1 is for the arrows, but the x50 is so much more useful IMO with expert mode.

I don't know if the 9500i's GPS feature is worth the extra money
