Can anyone tell me what the slots on the inside of the radio access door are for?

 

Dollar bills, gas receipts, etc...

 

I had asked about that in the previous board and I got a bunch of answers. Mostly receipts and stuff. Someone actaully was able to ge a pair of sunglasses in there! It must have been a very thin pair.

Finally, someone said that it was molded that way for structural reasons. It's stronger.

 

That was me! I always put my sunglasses (without case) behind the door when I'm not wearing them. They're out of sight, and ready for use. BTW, mine are just standard SGs - not thin. Try it out!

i put my singlasses in there as well. The lenses face the radio. Only the earpieces slide into the slots and hole the glasses in place.

 

Not sure about the slot. I'm still trying to figure out if the stereo light goes out when you close the door . . .
