I agree completely.

I'm calling Lucid today to get myself some sound. Not to turn this into a stereo recommendation thread, but is it possible to get good sound with the factory HU. I was just planning on swapping out the front speakers for some components and adding the 5.25 rears.

The only reason I don't want to swap HU's is for the simplicity of just using the stock one. No crazy wiring, IR stuff to worry about.

I don't have any problem with reception. It's the same as it was in both my celica and my explorer before that.

 

It sucks for me too, especially when around tall buildings and dense areas. A little better when out in the country, but no good stations out there.

 

hehe, the radio/antenna in my last car really sucked, so the reception in my S is so much better than what I was used to.

 

How listens to the radio? CD's for me!

 

Sucks here, and I have a pioneer with supertuner! Must be the antenna, or maybe cheap wiring (not sufficiently shielded) from the antenna to the dash?

 

yeah, mine sucks too, in fact the whole system is cheap and lousy...my miata ls had a better sound system and radio reception...so there is on short cut bean counter victory honda included...so far i cannot find any more to complain about.
