WOW...that is some toaster. I may have to break down and get one. Of course if you want to send it to me as a nice gesture from one member to another, I won't say no! Wed 6:15 am - heavy rain today from topical storm Bill, Bob - they're all the same. LOL. 2-3 inches...

Wednesday morning, 8AM, sunny, 70deg with humidity rising, going to be 90+ today and tomorrow. No rain forcast til overnight Thursday and Friday, when we could have locally severe weather.

Hilly and I went up to Lake Geneva WI yesterday evening, about 1-1/2 hours away. Took all the small back roads there and back and had an absolute blast. Total miles on the car when we got home: 325. Lots of bugs, the nose and windshield were totally goobered. I wound up using Windex to clean it all off, figuring that was the most benign substance I had in the house. I'm gonna have to search Wash & Wax to see what the cognescenti use...

Funny thing is, this car is the first one I've owned that fits in my lowly single-car garage with room to spare. I can actually work my way around the entire car; tight, but doable. Just have to watch out for belt buckles, watches and such.

No pics yet, Hilly took some yesterday during lunch but discovered after I returned to work that they were too blueish in color. Turns out the white balance on the camera was manually set for a photo we took over the weekend, and it was never reset. Oh well, I'll take some this afternoon and post'em.

Ralper, the car is Silverstone/Black, dead stock, no lip, spoiler or anything. Dealer threw in the wheel locks since they came on the car. Do floor mats come with the car or are they optional? Anyway the car came with them also...

4, that's a neat toaster, where did you find that thing?

Stay dry Ms. Perky, no VTECing in the wet!!!

Happy B'day Ohio!!! Or is it Happy Anniversary??? I can never figure these things out.

Tomorrow evening (Thurs) we drive to Galena IL, about 3 hours away, to visit friends. At the rate I'm going I'll be VTECing this weekend.

Later...

Tom

Tom,

Do some serious reserach on the wash and wax forum. Keep the car looking new. In a post about a year ago I posted a list of my pending order to www.properautocare.com and was soliciting comments. I think the feedback was that I ordered good stuff. You can do a search for that if you want. One immediate comment since you talked about the windshield is to use a microfiber towel (I think they are called Viper) and special glass cleaner that they sell on that site. I'll never go back to Streak-dex and paper towels again!! I might recommend holding off washing it until you get the proper stuff (Chenille wash mitt, drying towels, etc.). Don't use Dawn unless you want to strip all the previous wax and stuff off. I think I use Meguire's Gold Class Shampoo.

Oh that's right, this is the rain thread!! 9:52AM, sunny and getting humid already. Low to mid 80's the rest of the week. 1st chance of rain is Saturday. Looks like Bill will not affect us. My wife is in South Carolina now getting drenched. Poor woman. Leaves Cleveland hoping to get some sun and ...

Bill is keeping away from Ohio so he can hit Baltimore. He's supossed to be here this PM so I'm staring at my S & how shiny it looks because it won't look that way for long

I guess 3 or 4 days without rain is all I can expect.
