Damn again! I have obviously missed some major advances in toaster technology!! So hard to choose...By the way, I am an amateur psychologist. I've given advice to so many people I can't count them anymore. Even if they haven't asked!!! And you men know what I'm talking about! So feel free to PM me with any of your trials and tribulations...Happy 4th, y'all. And happy driving - WOOHOO!

You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag,
And forever in peace may you wave.

You're the emblem of,
The land I love,
The home of the free and the brave.

Ev'ry heart beats true,
Neath the Red, White and Blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag,
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the grand old flag.

Happy and safe July 4th to everyone.

10:47AM. Sunny and warm. Headed to 87. Hmmm, 4th of July at 10:47AM and two fighter jets in formation just went blowing by headed south. Makes me nervous as hell. There are no sporting events going on now that would have a flyover. The Cleveland Grand Prix is tomorrow and it's at night. Why would these guys be flying over now?

OhioRacer,
my thoughts are that considering its our nation's Independence Day....we're on heightened security. so it wouldn't surprise me if there are jets out and about our country today.
but what the heck do i know...i'm just a dentist.
keep safe and be safe,
jeff

LOL Ohio, it actually happened a little later in the evening, and with a few more miles, but it DID happen. We were on our way home at about 10:30 last night, and the car had about 680 miles or so on it. Top down, 85deg, humid and partly cloudy. We were on a rural road near a truck stop off the interstate, and I left the light driving normaly. I was doing about 30 or so in second when a sport ute came out of the truck stop trying to beat me onto the road. Not wanting to have to trail him I accelerated hard and let it wind out.

OMG!!!

6 grand and WHAP!!! kicked in, the speedo ran up like the 100th's second counter on a stopwatch, the rev bar flashed to 9 grand, the car I snapped a shift and the car flew!!! A few seconds later all I saw were a teeny tiny leetle headlights fading in my mirror.

I was Hilly was and my heart was thumping like anything.

I do believe I need to explore this sanely on a quiet road, so's I don't get in trouble in traffic. I also think I'm gonna give the car a couple-three hundred or so more miles before doing this very much. I gotta believe more breakin has to be better for this lil screamer.

11:15 AM 90deg already, going up to nearly 100 with insane humidity. A very real chance of severe weather later today and tonight, with strong winds and hail.

Time to go wash for the first time. I picked up some basic supplies from Auto Zone to get me through for the first coupla washes. This car is filthy with bugs, typical midwest night time summer driveing.

Ohio, ya know you've got friends here, I'll echo the other's comments and say if you need a fresh perspective we're here for ya. All I'll say right now is if you have your health, all the rest can be fixed.

Toasters look wicked kewl, I'm going to have a hard time choosing.

Happy 4th everone!!!

Tom

Great recap! Glad she finally lost her virginity. . Enjoy the first wash. Great way to spend the 4th bonding with the new Silverstone.

P.S. Thanks for the comment.
