Rain Rails Damaged
I had the roof replaced on my 2007 about a year ago when the OEM started tearing. Robbins roof and went to installer recommended as "perfectionists". About 2 mos ago, found wet truck liner and water under the liner. Took it back and installer said the rain rails were cracked and leaking. Haven't heard of this problem anywhere else, including on much older S2000's. A.) I surprised that this would happen, B.) surprised the a "perfectionist" installer would skip replacing them if they were showing signs of cracking and C.) didn't have a problem before new roof install.
To add insult to injury, they caulked the rain rails with something and got it all over the roof around the back of the roof. I've sent them pictures and am taking it back to see what they are going to do about this. Has anyone else had problems with rain rails or are these guys trying to hose me? I'd like to be prepared with some other owner's experiences.
