Hi all, is it possible to change the color of the leds on the rev counter? Let's say...

Green from idle till 3000;
yellow from 3000 till 6000;
orange from 6000 till 8000;
red from 8000 till 9000.

So you have an idea where the rev's are when driving fast without having to look at the counter itself. This way you will notice the color when keeping your eyes on the road (or some other interesting object )

Buy a shift beeper. It will emit a tone letting you know when you're reaching redline.

2. You should know the engine's approximate RPM from the sound and feel of the car anyway.

 

It can be done. I know there is a thread around somewhere with a dash that has blue leds in place of the orange ones. It'd be a whole lot of work to do it, but it's possible.

 

I think it should go from pink(3k) to purple (6k) to polk-a-dot (9k)

 

I think yellow, to orange, to red would be cool....

Yellow to 6k, Orange to 8k, red from 8-9k.... That would be cool...

 

I was just wondering, not that I want to change the color of every single LED! I was only imagining the rainbow when starting the topic. Therefore the colors

But white LED's till 6200 or so (no VTEC) and orange up to 8500 (we're in VTEC) and the last 500 rpm's in another color (almost time to change gear) would be nice and helpful I think
