Default ran over a curb...

this is the most dumbest thing ive ever done and i feel terrible for my s. I was parked real close to a curb, then decided to take a right turn ... all i heard was errrRRRRRGG!!! at that point it was all over for me... then i parked real quick and decided to take a look. i thought my passenger side door was bent and scractched but it wasnt that and then i looked underneath the car. It bend the metal line going straight down from the front tire to the back, dont know what its called. You only can see it if you bend down and look under neath. Any advice?

That my friend....is the jack point bar. It centers the jack when jacking it up on the points. No big damage, but I wouldnt recommend doing it again.

If the dent is located on the same rail as the one in the photo above, then you, my friend, are screwed. Otherwise, you should be fine.

Woah...what happened to your car? That is the jack rail though. Why would he be screwed?

that bar that is bent in this picture

is not just a jack rail it is a chassis support. basically gives the chassis its strength. if it is damaged the car does not retain its strength.

Im probably wrong so i will let some one more experianced explain.
Adam

PS:SPell checker still is not working so if i have made any spelling mistakes just ignore them

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think what's bent in the picture is the official Honda jacking point. I thought it was the thin lip where some of the paint is missing in this picture. ???

It would make a big difference for the poster of the original question.
