RANT AND RAVE
I've noticed over the past year, and more so later in the year, that people love to type phrases like "IBTL" or "Use The Search", and things like this. This is more common in the Gallery than it is in S2000 Talk, but I can't post it there. What irritates me the most is that someone is looking for information and you people just type these idiot phrases instead of helping the member. At least help them out and give them a few links. After which, if a new thread like that is still bothering you, we can lock it or erase it.
On the other side of it, it's a 10 year old platform. What would you like to talk about? There is nothing left to say, there are no pictures that you haven't seen before, there is no special way to mod anymore. So instead of typing your less than useful phrases to one another, let the thread go on and keep S2KI alive. A great example of this is, right now, there is a thread in the gallery about someone wanting to see AP1 and AP2 front bumpers in Berlina Black only. Two members have typed in less than helpful phrases. What's the big deal? It just gives you a chance to whore some more. Yes, I'm sure that all of the those cars are in the Official Berlina Black thread, but now you have all Berlina Black S2000's with only OEM fronts in one thread. What harm did it do? Now when you search, you have more material.
One other rant I have is it is becoming more and more of an issue, that people are hijacking the For Sale threads and down talking the products for sale and the sellers. The Good Guy and Bad Guy threads are there for your own use. If the buyer chooses not to do his homework than it's his own fault for getting screwed. I have never had one single problem with any buyer or any seller on S2KI. BUT...I always have phone contact with everyone before buying or selling. I've seen it a couple of times now from a few members about doing a rating system similar to that of Ebay. Not a bad idea if you ask me, but then again, I'm not the one that has to design it.
Please be courtious to one another in the For Sale forum. Let the Sellers sell. If you have a problem with them or one of the products, contact the seller direct. Try and get a phone number out of them and contact them that way. If you still have issues, contact your moderators...they are here to help.....but quit hijacking the threads.
Feel free to add your own rants and raves below.....and also, to all you guests, feel free to buy a membership

Also, those types of useless and unhelpful comments make it harder to search. There have been so many times on different forums where I'm searching for something and I see a topic that seems to be exactly what I'm looking for only to find it is riddled with "use the search" "this has been discussed before" etc.
I hate when people make really smartass comments like:
'Because you don't know how to drive properly. You might think you do.'
This is really rude imho. You don't even know the OP. And it doesn't help the OP at all.
This reply was not even for me but I just wanted to rant.
My guess is the replying person is some young punk.
You know who you are. I hope you learn some manners or get banned.
You know you would not say such a thing if the OP were standing in front of you.

Back to the SEARCH topic, I know how to use search and google, but this search function get irritating sometimes. When I type a topic, it brings threads back from 2001 and you have pages and pages, sometimes of useless information.. Then when you bring a topic back from the dead, people get upset too lol.
IBTL...OP this has been brought up before. Please use the search!!

Just what someone else said, Im a muscle car guy new to the S2000 and I hate searching just to find 199358923578 threads with all responses being to use the search!

its unfortunate but this website is becoming a joke. its just full of a bunch of grumpy ass people. that yell search or ibtl. now im no saint if i come across a thread that can easily be answered by reading the cars owners manual which everyone should do ill say read the manual but im helping them out too. i do however agree that the car is old nothing really changes how many truly new topics are there going to be?
we all are here for the same reason a love for this car. we all have different experience with the car there's those who have owned it since it first came out and there are those who just bought it? does this mean those who have owned the car longer should be rude and make derogatory comments to those who are new? the new generation is here and its those who are going to make the car live to the next generation.

thats true the old people that have s2000 need to be polite and have patience with the newbies ... also i hate when people here doesnt tolerate the persons that are not from Usa because of his bad english grammar ...
This is great site for 2 reasons:
From settings:
1. You can opt to not display all those long, animated signatures.
2. You can block users that write stupid things. So you never see what they wrote (or will write) again. ever.
If you are a member, fine. Good for you. No need to pressure others.

yep.
i tell people to 'search ____said topic if they're lost...'
in case they want a fast reply, since theres probably way more info in the old threads than a newly replied one.
i do hate the 'you dont know how to drive' bs.
