Anyone spouting they have a USDM S2000 with a non-factory color combo is blowing smoke up your @*$. AHM doesn't care who the dealer is, you can't special order cars with color combinations that weren't offered. That's not how we order cars. So if someone's driving around with an NFR with Tan, it didn't come from the factory that way.
Some dealerships did it back in the day so they could say "special order" and ask more money for the car, but that's it.
I think the rarest S2000's in the US that were bought and sold here were the 2002 Black with ALL red interior. I just don't see alot of those. Plenty of Black on Black, but hardly ever see the Black/All red ones.
I bet that lime green in the JDM is pretty rare, as is the S2000 SE I think it was called "gioire" or something.

THE ABSOLUTE RAREST COLOR has no doubt got to be "Lime Green Metallic". I have only seen a hand full... maybe 6 S2000s painted that color in all the searching I can do.
There are also super rare special editions that the US never got,
such as the "RJ" edition:

and the S2000 SE:

i remember someone having '02 suzuka blue with black interior custom ordered from factory.
The SE interior is really nice, but somehow unsuited for this car.
