Default Rattle from rear of interior

2005, I have a rattle/tapping noise which sounds like it’s coming from behind the seats. It’s definitely coming from the interior and not a mechanical/driveline issue.

I’ve ruled out the common culprits (passenger seatbelt rattle, loose spare tire, roll hoops hitting the convertible glass). Access is difficult but I’ve felt around back there and everything is tight. Not sure if the noise is actually from something in the convertible top/glass or something from the void space behind the seats. Also, top is original and so is the back glass.

Any ideas? I’m stumped

Top not original? During replace, have to drill out rivets. Sometimes old ones get stuck inside top frame tube, rattle around.

it's just the 12v plug. under the glove box. Fairly easy to tighten. But not sure if that could be the issue.

The noise is definitely further back than that, behind our heads

Crazy! An authentic JDM screwdriver! Maybe straight off the assembly line. I hope you kept it.

Have you recently removed the spare tire? Maybe the hold-down is loose?
